Erasmus+-Meeting in Cracow, February 17th – February 21st

During this meeting we got a deeper insight into the enzymatic degradation of bioethanol out of cellulose and starch. We worked together in small groups measuring the glucose concentration with electronic test stripes. At the end we distilled the ethanol produced.

Beside of this we did experiments on the properties of ethanol and worked on the theoretical background of the experiment.

In addition, we also enjoyed several excursions, including a salt mine, the historic city center of Cracow and – as a highlight – Cracow eye with a beautiful view of Cracow. Before saying our goodbyes, we had a cultural evening discovering typical aspects of each country and enjoying typical polish food. At the end, we reflected on the meeting, on what we had learned and gained for our future.
